2016 Safety Training Seminars Calendar

The 2016 Safety Training Seminars are kicking off. Here is a list of the seminars happening throughout the year, and all of the appropriate contact information you will need to coordinate attendance. 

1. American Society of Safety Engineers - SeminarFest

Conference Dates: February 5, 2016 thru February 11, 2016

Location: The Rio in Las Vegas, NV

Overview: With over 80 seminars to choose from, you can create a schedule specific to your needs and interests. It's possible to earn up to 5 CEUs in just one week at this conference! And you can feel confident that you are learning the most up-to-date information from some of the industry's best OSH instructors. You will also have the chance to take in a couple of luncheon presentations from Terrance Barkan, CAE, and Christine Branche, Ph.D.

Highlights: *Thousands of your colleagues and peers will be in attendance.

*You can earn certification in one of four ASSE programs during the conference.

*Seminars can run for one, two, or three days. This freedom allows the instructors to set up the seminar how they best see fit.

*There are several seminars to choose from, including "Uncovering the Real Causes of Fatalities and Severe Loss" and "Employment Law for Safety Professionals."

2. Safety in Action 2016 North American Safety Conference

Conference Dates: April 7, 201 thru April 9, 2016

Overview: Leaders in workplace safety from around the world will be joining together at this conference. You can hear stories from others about real-life situations involving safety in the workplace -- over 80 sharing sessions are already scheduled. You will get a diverse look at safety as individuals from various industries share their safety knowledge.

Highlights: *There will be over 200 workshops to participate in.

*Over 100 panelists, and over 2,000 safety professionals will be talking about their experiences in the workplace and their knowledge of current safety practices.

*Some of the key-note speakers this year will be Don Martin, Greg Fox, Dr. Susan Keon, and Howard Behar.

3. American Industrial Hygiene Association - AIHce 2016

Conference Dates: May 21, 2016 thru May 26, 2016

Location: Inner Harbor in Baltimore, MD

Overview: Come join your peers for an entertaining week of education and socialization. Get reminded why you chose the career you did, and get update on all the advancements that are occurring. This conference offers lectures, luncheons, and roundtables as well as Education Development Courses. Adam Steltzner from NASA's Rover Project will be speaking at this event.

Highlights: *There is a seminar being held Monday, May 23, just for first-time attendees.

*You will have the opportunity to learn about the Thought Leader Track.

*Over 5,000 of your peers and colleagues are expected to attend.

*There will be over 100 educational programs to choose from.

*Close to 100 social events are on the calendar for this year's conference.

4. ASSE Safety 2016 Professional Development Conference & Exposition

Conference Dates: June 26, 2016 thru June 29, 2016; Pre-Conference Seminars are being held June 22, 2016 thru June 26, 2016

Location: Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA

Overview: So much to do, so little time! You will have the chance to network with peers, sit in on educational sessions, and hear from speakers such as Drew Dudley and Walter Bond at this year's conference. You are sure to find plenty to fill your schedule with during this seminar.

Highlights: *There will be over 600 exhibitors at this conference.

*You will have the option of over 245 educational sessions.

*You will have the opportunity to connect with over 4,000 OSH professionals.

*The 10th Annual Safety Matters Golf Outing will be held on Sunday, June 26, at 8:00 am EST.

5. 32nd Annual VPPPA Safety & Health Conference

Conference Dates: August 29, 2016 thru September 1, 2016

Location: Gaylord Palms & Convention Center in Kissimmee, FL

Overview: There will be over 100 workshops for you to choose from during this conference. You will also learn about new (and existing) regulations regarding OSHA. This conference will bring together individuals from across 400 different industries!

*National-known key-note speakers will be speaking at this year's event.

*Thousands of peers and colleagues are expected to be here, so get out those business cards and prepare to do some networking!

*If you're interested in meeting others from your specific area of the country, you can attend regional chapter meetings.

6. American Industrial Hygene Association - Fall 2016 Conference

Conference Dates: October 24, 2016 thru October 25, 2016 with PDCs being held on October 22-23, 2016, and on October 26, 2016
